For years Conan the Barbarian has been a stable at Dark Horse comics, but that hasn’t always been the case. Back in the 70s Marvel comics began publishing Conan in a black and white magazine that eventually led into the classic Conan comics. In 2000 Marvel ceased to publishing and the rights went to Dark Horse in 2003, but that is all changing in 2019.

Marvel Entertainment and Conan Properties International have officially announced the iconic CONAN franchise will return to Marvel next year. With over 650 issues during its original run at Marvel including Conan The Barbarian, Conan the Adventurer, Conan the Savage and Savage Sword of Conan among other popular titles it will be interesting to see where they take the famed character next.

Details on upcoming comic book titles, collections, reprints, and creative teams will be shared at a later date, but until then you can at least marvel at these images they dropped in honor of this announcement here now.
