Love him or hate him there is no denying the impact artist Rob Liefeld has had on the comic world. His top selling X-Force series, co-founding Image Comics and of course creating both Deadpool and Cable just to name a few. The list of his accomplishments could go on and on and thankfully show no signs of slowing down.

Now he is returning to his X-Men roots with an all-new character Major X that is not only making his debut to shake things up but also getting his own mini-series written and created by Liefeld who will also be doing the art for issue # 1 and covers with artist Brent Peeples on issue two and Wilce Portacio joining soon after.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly on the new character Liefeld said ““To me, the X-Men have always thrived on big ideas, crazy ideas. Major X introduces a new character who is certain to mix up everything in the X-world. He hails from another existence, which is called the ‘X-istence’ — a mutant Shangri-La, a safe haven that has been a realm where mutant kind has lived in peace and harmony. They escaped there following a tragedy that befell mutant kind, and built this community…but then a terrible event happens within the X-istence that causes Major X to cross over and land in the Marvel Universe that we know.”

Be there when the mystery begins to unfold in April when Major X hits stores and blasts new life into the world of the X-Universe like only Rob Liefeld can.
