Paramount debuts trailer The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge On The Run and poster for Kamp Koral: Spongebob's Under Years
For years SpongeBob Squarepants has been dominating Nickelodeon as one of their most popular series. They have created not only a fun hilarious series, but it has become so much more than just the TV series with a product juggernaut and a feature films. Now the underwater adventures are returning to the big screen once again with The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge On The Run.
The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge On The Room follows SpongeBob SquarePants, his best friend Patrick Star and the rest of the gang from Bikini Bottom hit the big screen in the first-ever all CGI SpongeBob motion picture event. After SpongeBob’s beloved pet snail Gary is snail-napped, he and Patrick embark on an epic adventure to The Lost City of Atlantic City to bring Gary home. As they navigate the delights and dangers on this perilous and hilarious rescue mission, SpongeBob and his pals prove there’s nothing stronger than the power of friendship.
The films was supposed to be hitting theaters in 2020, but like most got bumped due to the pandemic so instead its making its way to digital and streaming on Paramount+. As if this isn’t already exciting news they are also premiering the first ever Spongebob spin-off series Kamp Koral: Spongebob’s Under Years.
The series follows 10-year-old SpongeBob SquarePants and his pals during summer sleepaway camp where they spend their time building underwater campfires, catching wild jellyfish and swimming in Lake Yuckymuck at the craziest camp in the kelp forest, Kamp Koral.
The show features all the original voice cast including Tom Kenny (SpongeBob), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy) and Mr. Lawrence (Plankton) as well as Carlos Alazraqui (The Casagrandes) and Kate Higgins (Blaze and the Monster Machines) joining as new characters Nobby and Narlene, narwhal siblings who live in the woods surrounding the camp.
The Spongebob Movie: Sponge On The Run will digital on March 4th as well as hit the streaming service Paramount+ alongside the premiere of the Kamp Koral: Spngebob’s Under Years that will drop the first six episodes on the same day.
