Paramount debuts big game spot for Top Gun: Maverick
While Tom Cruise has been a major box office star for years with his biggest franchise being Mission Impossible. Before he took on the role of Ethan Hunt he was best known as Maverick from the 1986 film Top Gun. For years they have been talking about a sequel but for the longest time it appeared it was never going to happen, but that all changed when it was announced that filming had begun. The follow up film titled Top Gun: Maverick features a great supporting cast including Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Val Kilmer, Miles Teller, and Ed Harris.
Top Gun: Maverick follows Pete “Maverick” Mitchell who after more than thirty years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him. When he finds himself training a detachment of Top Gun graduates for a specialized mission the likes of which no living pilot has ever seen, Maverick encounters Lt. Bradley Bradshaw, call sign: “Rooster,” the son of Maverick’s late friend and Radar Intercept Officer Lt. Nick Bradshaw, aka “Goose”.
Facing an uncertain future and confronting the ghosts of his past, Maverick is drawn into a confrontation with his own deepest fears, culminating in a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who will be chosen to fly it.
While you will have to wait until December 23, 2020 to see the film in theaters, you can check out the all-new big game spot along with the recently released new trailer here now from Paramount.
