Sony announces Whiplash on 4K Ultra

There are movies that instantly capture your interest when you see the trailers. When they surpass expectations it becomes something all its own. One of those films is Whiplash starring Miles Teller, J.K. Simmons, and Paul Reiser from writer and director Damien Chazelle.

Whiplash follows Andrew Neyman, an ambitious young jazz drummer single-minded in his pursuit to rise to the top of his elite east coast music conservatory. Terence Fletcher, an instructor known equally for his teaching talents and his terrifying methods, discovers Andrew and transfers him into his band. Andrew’s passion to achieve perfection soon spirals into obsession, as his ruthless teacher continues to push him to the brink of both his ability and his sanity.

Now the Academy Award winning film is getting the 4K treatment for the first time and features loads of bonus content including deleted scenes, trailer, commentary, original short and so much more. Grab your drum sticks and grab your copy of Whiplash when it hits 4K Ultra on September 22, 2020 from Sony Home Entertainment.
