28 Days Later runs chaotically onto 4K

In 2002 Slumdog Millionaire and Trainspotting director Danny Boyle teamed up with Ex Machina and Civil War director Alex Garland for the zombie flick 28 Days Later. With Boyle directing and Garland writing the two brought a different take to the undead genre with Cillian Murphy with the breakout lead to the chaotic film. The team sat out for the 2007 sequel 28 Weeks Later but returned for the new film 28 Years Later and 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple with Nia DaCosta stepping in to direct the second film. Now the one that started it all is finally coming to 4K, and fans are no doubt excited.

28 Days Later follows bicycle courier Jim, after waking from a coma in a deserted London hospital, takes to the deserted city streets in a state of mystified confusion. Joining forces with another group of survivors, Jim soon learns that a deadly virus was released. Is there still a glimmer of hope for humanity — or has the deadly “rage” virus found its way to foreign shores and infected the entire planet?

In addition to the film this release includes the legacy bonus content including commentary, deleted scenes, alternate endings, photo galleries, featurette and so much more. Return to the beginning of the rage virus when 28 Days Later comes to 4K for the first time on September 1st from Sony Home Entertainment.
