Director and stuntman J.J. Perry has already churned out some great action flicks in front of and behind the camera. His directorial efforts include the underrated action films Day Shift and The Killer’s Game and now e is reteaming with star Dave Bautista for his latest film Afterburn co-starring Samuel L. Jackson, Olga Kurylenko and Kristofer Hivju based on the Red 5 Comics series of the same name by Scott Chitwood, Paul Ens and Wayne Nichols.

Afterburn follows ex-soldier Jake, who works as a treasure hunter recovering valuable objects from the old world for powerful clients ten years after a solar flare wiped out technology across the globe. His latest mission: team up with freedom fighter Drea to recover the Mona Lisa before an unhinged warlord gets there first.
