Disney has become well known for their famed vault of films and where they used to release the diamond editions on Blu-ray they have since shifted to The Walt Disney Signature Collection Editions. The latest getting this treatment is Bambi that is celebrating its 75th anniversary.

If you have failed to experience the world of Bambi, the film follows Bambi, a young deer hailed as the 'Prince of the Forest' at his birth. As Bambi grows, he makes friends with the other animals of the forest, learns the skills needed to survive, and even finds love. One day, however, the hunters come, and Bambi must learn to be as brave as his father if he is to lead the other deer to safety. I am always amazed at the beauty and brilliance of these early Disney films. I cannot fathom what people at the time must have thought when they saw them, but they have managed to stand the test of time. While I am not a fan of the princess generation of Disney, I do love this era with all the animals and Bambi is one of the best. The film offers up all the emotional heart ache and joy you can expect all wrapped up in a short run time. The animation is still as beautiful as ever and you would be hard pressed to not have a smile on your face while seeing the world of Bambi come to life. There is nothing you can say that is bad about this film other than these iconic Disney flicks offer up so much that is amazing that it was allowed and no way they would allow it in kids films today, but they let it go because it is a Disney classic.
