Return to the world of Frank Herbert’s novels with the final entry Dune Part Three

In 1984 David Lynch brought Frank Herbert’s 1965 novel to life with Dune. The film failed to succeed at the box office, but over time it has found its fans. There have been talks of a new film outside of the 2000 SyFy Channel mini-series made for years, but looked like it might never happen. That is until visionary director of Arrival and Blade Runner 2049 Dennis Villeneuve stepped in and brought the story to life in two-part epics with Dune in 2021 and Dune: Part Two in 2024. Now the final chapter aptly titled Dune: Part Three is almost here with Villeneuve back at the helm.
Dune: Part Three follows nearly two decades after Paul Atreides seized control of the Imperium. Now a ruthless Emperor, Paul must face the consequences of his reign as old allies return, terrifying new threats emerge, and betrayal lurks in every shadow. Haunted by visions of Imperial collapse and the reappearance of his long-lost love, Paul is drawn into a sweeping conspiracy, with Chani at the heart of its unfolding mystery. As rebellion brews and enemies close in, Paul must confront the true cost of power and the fate of those he loves the most.

The final chapter sees the return of old characters as well as new additions including Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides, Zendaya as Chani, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho, Javier Bardem as Stilgar, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Anya Taylor-Joy as Alia Atreides, Robert Pattinson as Scytale, Isaach de Bankolé as Farok, Nakoa-Wolf Momoa as Leto II Atreides, and Ida Brooke as Ghanima Atreides.
While you will have to wait to see the final chapter based on the Dune: Messiah novel in theaters on December 18, 2026, you can check out the new trailer and and poster along with the previously released character posters here now from Warner Bros.
