Before bringing us the Conjuring Universe, the team that brought us SAW, James Wan and Leigh Whannell brought the world Insidious. After its success in 2010 it spawned four sequels with one serving as a prequel and the last entry seeming to be its last or so we thought. Now the series is back in a new direction with Insidious: Out of the Further starring Amelia Eve, Brandon Perea and the return of Lin Shaye as Elise Rainier with Come Play director Jacob Chase at the helm.

Insidious: Out of the Further follows Gemma, a young mother raising her daughter in the house she grew up in who discovers she can travel into The Further, the purgatorial realm of lost souls at the heart of the Insidious Universe. When something evil comes after her, Gemma discovers an ability that changes everything: she doesn’t just enter The Further, she can bring what lives there back to the real world. Once the demons realize her power, our world becomes their playground.
