Jackass Forever
       review by Bobby Blakey

When MTV launched the insanity of the Jackass TV series in 2000 no one could have predicted that it would have become the juggernaut that it did. While the series only ran for 3 seasons it spawned numerous films and specials. WE haven’t seen anything from the wacky crew since their last film in 2010 outside of their own side projects. That is all changing as they are coming back together for Jackass Forever, but will it bring the usual fun and laughs or has it run its course?

Celebrating the joy of being back together with your best friends and a perfectly executed shot to the dingdong, the original jackass crew return for another round of hilarious, wildly absurd, and often dangerous displays of comedy with a little help from some exciting new cast. All of our favorites are back including Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Wee-Man, Chris Pontius, Dave Englund, Ehren McGhehey and Preston Lacy with new additions Poopies, Rachel Wolfson, Zach Holmes, Erik Manaka and Jasper.

As a fan of the franchise from the beginning with the series and loving all the movies I loved this film. I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel with the lack of Bam and the late Ryan Dunn (who they pay tribute too) or the new cast, but it still worked as great as ever. There are a lot of rehashed stunts along with plenty of new ones that will no doubt keep the fans happy. I will say that this entry offered up the most penis appearances to date in the franchise and all used to hilarious end.

This isn’t really the kind of movie that gets a standard review since it doesn’t have a story arc, but I will say the opening and closing of the movie is as epic in execution as it is ridiculous. It once again steps things up while pushing their creativity to hilarious results. There are so many cringe worthy moments, mostly involving the penis that I was laughing

throughout. I loved this entry and big props to them for not only bringing the fun and pain back, but infusing it with some new blood that never fail to deliver.

This is the over the top, gross, painful and hilarious fun that you expect from Tremaine and the Jackass team. If you are not a fan of the show or the previous movies this one won’t change your mind, but if you loved them before you will love this one as well.

In addition to the film this release offers up nearly 40 minutes of outrageous and hilarious stunt footage not seen in theaters. Get in on the hijinx with old friends and grab your copy of Jackass Forever available now on digital and then on Blu-ray and DVD on April 19th from Paramount Home Entertainment.
