   Jetsons & WWE:

Robo-Wrestlemania

            review by Bobby Blakey

The WWE has worked themselves into some pretty interesting crossovers and none more than some of their cartoon features including team ups with Scooby-Doo! and The Flintstones. Now they are taking their ring into the future with the all-new original film The Jetsons & WWE: Robo-Wrestlemania.

In the film, in the midst of an exhibition match, a powerful snow storm freezes Big Show solid. One hundred years later, Big Show has finally thawed and is discovered by George Jetson. His first mission is to revive wrestling in 22nd century Orbit City. With Big Show’s help, Elroy and George build robotic Superstars. But Big Show had big plans of his own! The wrestle-bot army manages to capture Orbit City! This leaves George and the Jetsons family one option: travel back in time to enlist WWE Superstars Alicia Fox, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Sheamus to help defeat the Big Show and his wrestle-bot army in the future. I have never been a bit fan of the Jetsons but I have to admit that this film is pretty funny. The story is ridiculous, but they do such a clever job of bringing these two properties together. The animation style looks like classic Jetsons, but they managed to still make the wrestlers look like their real life counterparts. All the WWE stars do a good job voicing the animated versions of themselves with The Big Show stealing the show quite literally as he takes over the future.

This is a fun animated mash up adventure that works way better than it should. It’s not breaking down any barriers in the animation world, but for fans of either properties it will no doubt entertain. This is sure to be a must have for fans of the WWE as well as those that love the classic cartoons. Body slam your way into the future when The Jetsons & WWE: Robo-Wrestlemania hits DVD and Digital HD on March 14th from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.
