I love a good action flick and India has produced some great ones. The latest Indian Hindi-language film aptly titled Kill stars Raghav Juyal, Lakshya, Tanya Maniktala, Hars Chhaya, Ashish Vidyarthi, Abhishek Chauhan, and Parth Tiwari from director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat. Could this film bring the action it promises, or will this train miss its stop?

Kill follows army commando Amrit who finds out his true love Tulika is engaged against her will, he boards a New Delhi-bound train in a daring quest to derail the arranged marriage. But when a gang of knife-wielding thieves led by the ruthless Fani begin to terrorize innocent passengers on his train, Amrit takes them on himself in a death-defying kill-spree to save those around him — turning what should have been a typical commute into an adrenaline-fueled thrill ride.

I am always hesitant on these kinds of films with a worry that all the good action happens in the trailer, but this for sure is not one of those films. They set up a simple premise and character introductions before unleashing a bloody and violent chaotic pace on the viewer that doesn’t let up until the end. Some of the fights in the trailer looked like they might come off a bit silly but seeing them in their full execution they are all excellent.

The cast all do a fine job, but this film is about the action and keeps bringing the action at a fast pace, rarely allowing you to take a breath. They could have easily just gone with the standard fighting but went all in to step up the blood to smash the impact right into your face at every turn. They promised a high-octane action pic and they delivered it in spades. Every fight sequence was perfectly executed and used the surroundings to create some fun and creative moments that took the film to another level.

My only complaint is something that I have with every film that features insane bad guys. Why are they so angry and baffled that someone would kill them and their compatriots after they run around killing everyone. Here they all seemed so angry and confused to why they were retaliating and while annoying also made their demise all the better. It’s nothing the film does wrong, just something that cracks me up in the genre all the time.

I went in hoping to enjoy this film and came out on the other side a bit more stressed and loving every minute of it. I hope this film finds the audience it deserves because it is a top tier action flick that will no doubt, please the action fans willing to give it a shot.
