In the world of the famed Power Rangers there is no ranger more popular than the late Jason David Frank. When he made his debut as Tommy on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, he went from a story arc bad ranger to a member of the team to the most popular and eventually face of the franchise. After working together on the Ninjak Vs. The Valiant Universe Frank and Bat in the Son co-founder Aaron Schoenke teamed up to develop the passion project Legend of the White Dragon. After many delays and the untimely death of Frank the film has finally found its place with Well Go USA who will be giving the highly anticipated film an official release.

Legend of the White Dragon follows Erik Reed, a former hero forced into hiding after a devastating battle destroys part of his city and exposes his identity. Once celebrated as the White Dragon, Erik is now blamed for the destruction and cut off from the life and family he left behind. As corruption spreads through Virtuo City, Erik is drawn back into saving a world that no longer trusts him. He must confront his past and decide whether the White Dragon still belongs in a city that has already judged him, all while facing an enemy who wields the same mysterious energy that once defined him.

The film not only features Frank in his final role, but fellow Power Rangers alumni, Jason Faunt (“Power Rangers: Time Force”), Ciara Hanna (“Power Rangers: Megaforce”), and Cerina Vincent, his real-life daughter Jenna Frank, Andrew “King Bach” Bachelor, the late Michael Madsen, David Ramsey and martial arts action star Mark Dacascos.

Fans will no doubt be excited with the announcement of the film getting a release date, but that it will be released on August 28th which is also National Power Rangers Day. While we wait for the official trailer you can check out a couple of stills from the film.
