Marvel and Lucasfilm bring The Mandalorian, Loki, Hawkeye and Ashoka to 4K and Blu-ray
Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm have been bringing a variety of new programming to Disney+ since its launch in 2019. Sadly, none of these shows were being released to physical media and could only be seen via the streaming service, but in 2023 they started to give some of them physical releases including Loki, The Mandalorian, Andor, Moon Knight and more. Now they are giving fans more of what they want with the latest new releases including The Mandalorian: Season 3, Ahoka: Season 1, Hawkeye: Season 1 and Loki: Season 2 on 4K and Blu-ray.
The third season of the Mandalorian follows the journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy where once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.
Ahsoka follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy set after the fall of the Empire. This series not only focuses on Ashoka but essentially serves as a continuation of the animated series Rebels featuring many characters and arcs from the show.
Loki Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of the shocking season one finale when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15 and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose.
Marvel Studios' Hawkeye is an original series set in post-blip New York City where former Avenger Clint Barton aka Hawkeye has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. But when a threat from his past shows up, Hawkeye reluctantly teams up with Kate Bishop - a 22-year-old skilled archer and his biggest fan - to unravel a criminal conspiracy.
Like the previous Lucasfilm and Marvel Studios Collector’s Editions released earlier this year (Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Star Wars: Andor Season 1, Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Season 1 and Marvel Studios’ Moon Knight Season 1), each of these new releases will be available nationally on 4K UHD SteelBook® with brand-new box art designed by popular artist Attila Szarka and collectible concept art cards.
Additionally, the four titles will be the first Disney+ Originals to include breathtaking 4K Ultra HD Dolby Vision® along with Atmos® audio, delivering an unforgettable home theater experience with jaw-dropping visuals and immersive, cinematic sound!
