I love spoof comedies, but sadly we don’t get many of them these days especially good ones. In 2000 Kennen, Marlon an Shawn Wayans took on the horror genre for the hilarious Scary Movie. After its success they dropped another outrageous funny entry with Scary Movie 2 in 2001. After some behind the scenes drama the Wayans were no longer attached to the franchise, but it kept going with three more sequels in 2003, 2006, and 2013. It seemed the series was finally done, but now the Wayans are back in the driving seat with A Haunted House 1 & 2 and Fifty Shades of Black director Michael Tiddes at the helm.

Scary Movie 6 follows twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer, the Core Four are back in the killer’s crosshairs and no horror movie IP is safe. Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Anna Faris, and Regina Hall reunite in Scary Movie alongside returning favorites and fresh faces to slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t final. Nothing is sacred. No trope survives. Every line gets crossed.  The Wayans are back to cancel the Cancel Culture.
