Sony announces The Book of Clarence on Blu-ray and DVD

I always love it when filmmakers take chances with historical stories with new twists. There aren’t many, but there have been a few that have done the same with biblical stories in varying genres. The latest, The Book of Clarence stars LaKeith Stanfield, Omar Sy, Anna Diop, RJ Cyler, David Oyelowo, Micheal Ward, Alfre Woodard, Teyana Taylor, Caleb McLaughlin, Eric Kofi Abrefa, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, with James McAvoy, and Benedict Cumberbatch from The Harder They Fall director Jeymes Samuel.

The Book of Clarence follows a bold new take on the timeless Hollywood era Biblical epic. Streetwise but struggling, Clarence is trying to find a better life for himself and his family, make himself worthy to the woman he loves, and prove that he’s not a nobody. Captivated by the power and glory of the rising Messiah and His apostles, he risks everything to carve his own path to a divine life, a journey through which he finds redemption and faith, power and knowledge.

In addition to the film, this release offers up bonus content including commentary, deleted scenes, gag reel, featurettes and more. Grab your copy of The Book of Clarence available now on digital and then on Blu-ray and DVD on March 26th from Sony Home Entertainment.
