As I lifelong comic fan I tend to gravitate towards any property that gets the TV or movie treatment. Of course they aren’t all good, but I still find myself needing to see them. One of my favorite comics was The Boys from creators Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. In 2008 it was announced there was a film in the works, but never happened and appeared that was the end of it. The plans changed to a TV series with Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Eric Kripke that is finally getting ready to hit Amazon.

The Boys follows a world where superheroes embrace the darker side of their massive celebrity and fame" and "revolves around a group of vigilantes known informally as “the boys,” who set out to take down corrupt superheroes with no more than blue-collar grit and a willingness to fight dirty. The series features a great cast including Karl Urban, Elisabeth Shue, Erin Moriarty, Simon Pegg and Jennifer Esposito.
