Jesse Eisenberg has already had an impressive career in front of the camera and been establishing himself behind the camera directing films including A Real Pain in 2024. His next directorial effort, The Debut has him once again serving multiple roles including writing and on screen. The film stars Julianne Moore, Paul Giamatti, Halle Bailey, Cara Buono, Craig Bierko, Eldar Isgandarov, and Bernadette Peters.

 

The Debut follows Mona Friedman who is cast in a bit part at a small community theater where she transforms from a shy, unassuming housewife into a zealous method actor willing to do anything to protect the artistic integrity of her marginal role—even if it means waging war against the show’s domineering director.
