Aaron Sorkin returns to the world of Facebook with The Social Reckoning

Aaron Sorkin has established himself as a voice to be heard in the film industry bringing his writing skills to films including Moneyball, A Few Good Men, Sports Night and The West Wing. In 2010 he took on the world of Facebook with the film The Social Network directed by David Fincher. Now he is returning to that world this time also in the director’s seat for the The Social Reckoning based on the events that gave rise to the Wall Street Journal’s shocking exposé The Facebook Files.
The Social Reckoning follows the true story of how Frances Haugen, a young Facebook engineer, enlists the help of Jeff Horwitz, a Wall Street Journal reporter, to go on a dangerous journey that ends up blowing the whistle on the social network’s most guarded secrets. The film stars Mikey Madison, Jeremy Allen White, Wunmi Mosaku, Betty Gilpin, Billy Magnussen, Bill Burr and Jeremy Strong taking over the role of Mark Zucerberg previously played by Jesse Esienberg.
While you will have to wait until October 9th to see the film in theaters you can check out the new character posters and previously released teaser trailer from Sony.
