Like most people of my generation, I love all things Tom & Jerry. I can honestly say that I have loved or been entertained by pretty much every iteration that they have taken to this day. Their last outing in 2021 blended the animation and live action to surprising success. Now they are headed back into the animation world with their latest feature Tom and Jerry: Forbidden Compass, a Chinese co-production that looked to blend the classic comedy and Chinese folklore in the first fully computer animated feature of the famed duo.

Tom and Jerry: Forbidden Compass follows legendary rivals Tom and Jerry who collide during a high-speed chase through New York's Metropolitan Museum and unleash a mythical compass that hurls them across time and space. Dropped into a dangerous ancient city, they must outsmart a cunning crime lord, a power-hungry ruler, and an army of warriors. Now, the biggest rivals in cartoon history must do the unthinkable — team up — if they ever want to see home again.
