After her success on the American version of the TV series The Office, Ellie Kemper took on a new leading role for the Netflix original series Unbreakable Kimmy Schimdt. The show featured a great cast alongside Kemper including Tituss Burgess, Carol Kane, and Jane Krakowski, but sadly only got 4 seasons before it ended. Thankfully fans can bring it home in an all-new collection from Mill Creek Entertainment.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt follows Kimmy Schmidt who is escued after 15 years in a cult and decides to reclaim her life by venturing to New York, where she experiences everyday life with wide-eyed enthusiasm. On a whim, she rents a room from Titus, a gay wannabe Broadway actor and the unlikely pair find they're well-suited to help each other out!  Titus reintroduces Kimmy to modern life, and she provides him with the inspiration to follow his dreams. Together they'll make it through whatever life throws at them.

There are shows that come along that are just so ridiculous they work and this is one of them. From the first episode you knew this wasn’t going to be your usual sitcom and it kept the laughs coming right until the very end. Every character in this show is either dumb and innocent or out of their mind insane in the best possible way. Kemper leads the charge with a silly innocence that you can’t help but fall in love with. My personal favorite is the always over the top and over dramatic Titus played to perfection by Tituss Burgess. Their friendship and chemistry throughout the series is one of the biggest reasons this show works at all.

Like most series as the show moved along it brought in more and more story arcs for the supporting players fully implanting the ensemble cast as opposed to just following the shenanigans of Kimmy. This offered up some funny yet ridiculous

outings with the most outrageous being with the show stealing Titus. Throughout it all Kemper is the glue that holds it all together and brings the laugh and heart to each episode. I was bummed to hear the show was ending, but the hopes for a planned special keeps the excitement alive. Whether the special happens or not we can be happy that at least we can bring the whole series home to revisit anytime we want.

This collection offers up all 51 episodes of the 4 seasons and will no doubt be a must have for fans of the series. Grab your copy of the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: The Complete Series available now on Blu-ray from Mill Creek Entertainment.
