Director Robert Eggers is one of my current favorite directors that brings a unique voice to his films including The Witch, The Lighthouse, The Northman and more recently Nosferatu. Now he is taking on another classic monster with his latest dark vision Werwulf starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Willem Dafoe, and Lily-Rose Depp.

 

Werwulf follows a mysterious creature who stalks a foggy countryside as local folklore becomes a terrifying reality for the villagers in 13th-century England. Witness Robert Eggers’ most visceral and haunting experience yet. Focus Features presents Werwulf, a harrowing tale of devotion, damnation and the devil within.
