Back in 2011, a disturbing, high-action thriller was released that showed the spread and effects of a worldwide pandemic. As more and more people around the globe are infected, the race to create a viable vaccine is underway. All the while, the search for how the pandemic began is being conducted to see if the source and patient zero can be determined.
 

When word gets out and governments tell people not to panic, they (of course) immediately panic and begin looting, robbing banks and stealing food.  Violence on the streets is so high that everyone is forced to stay locked in their houses and not come into contact with anyone else without a mask and gloves.  
 

Then, of course, you have the conspiracy theorists who immediately jump online to say the pandemic was a genetically manufactured biological weapon. Others say, ‘You must drink this magic medicine to be cured, you can’t take the vaccine because the government will control you'.
 

The film features an all-star cast including Marion Cotillard, Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Winslet from Traffic, Magic Mike, Haywire and Ocean’s Eleven series director Steven Soderbergh at the helm.
 

I remember watching this movie which came out soon after the H1N1 pandemic and it was thrilling and a bit freaky at the time. Watching it again now, after having lived through the Covid pandemic, it's eerily realistic! It's as if this movie predicted what would happen just 10 years later (very creepy).
