In 1984 David Lynch brought Frank Herbert’s 1965 novel to life with Dune. The film failed to succeed at the box office, but over time has found its fans. There have been talks of a new film outside of the 2000 SyFy Channel mini-series made for years, but looked like it might never happen. That is until visionary director of Arrival and Blade Runner 2049 Dennis Villeneuve stepped in and brought the first chapter to the big screen in 2021. Now the next chapter aptly titled Dune: Part Two is almost upon us.

 

This chapter sees the return of old characters as well as new additions including Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Dave Bautista, Christopher Walken, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Léa Seydoux, Stellan Skarsgård, Charlotte Rampling and Javier Bardem with Villeneuve back at the helm.

 

Dune: Part Two follows explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.
